Youth Mobile Crisis Response
Youth Mobile Crisis Response, which is part of a statewide coordinated response to mental health, is available to for youth ages 0-20 who are experiencing crisis 24 hours a day, 7days a week. Youth Mobile Crisis is an innovative program that utilizes the team approach in responding to crisis situations. The team consists of a Team Leader who is a Licensed Mental Health Professional whose focus is to assess all elements of the crisis, the Responder who holds a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree who works to stabilize the situation that the youth in the crisis is experiencing. The Family Peer Support Specialist provides support to the parent by bringing their personal experience in successfully dealing with life stressors.
The crisis is self defined, and Youth Mobile Crisis Response Team services can be initiated by the youth, parent, caregiver, school or service provider during a behavioral or mental health crisis.
Services are delivered face to face (in-home or community-based) to offer support and referral resources. Crisis Response provides 72 hours of stabilization and an additional 14 days of ongoing support.
