The Clothes Closet is run by volunteers from the community. The volunteers receive donations, organize the closet and prepare for clients to shop. Clients come to the clothes closet through referrals from the Office of Behavioral Health , The Office for Citizens with Developmental Disabilities, The Office of Addictive Disorders, The Department of Child and Family Services, The Red Cross, The United Way of Acadiana, The United Way of St. Landry / Evangeline, The Faith House, The Lighthouse, The Well, St. Josephs Shelter, Office of Family Support, Volunteers of America, Acadiana Cares, half way houses for addictions, University Medical Center,and other local providers for treatment in the seven parishes we serve.
All clothing and other items are distributed to the clients FREE of CHARGE.
If you wish to donate clothing or household items, please call 337-237-2090 ext 114 and make an appointment come by our office Mon- Fri, 9- 4:30. Please do not leave donations outside, as they often get damaged or messed up and we cannot use them.
